ACL's IM & Community Solution crosses 100,000 MO/day in Oman

Oman Mobile, the largest mobile operator in the Sultanate of Oman, got off to a roaring start with the launch of ACL's IM & Community Solution on its network this Monday. The robust, state-of-the-art, instant messaging based service registered over 600,000 mobile transactions on the first two days itself, besides clocking over 8,000 user registrations.
Launched under the brand name 'OM Chat', the service connects the entire subscriber base of Oman Mobile, which recently raced pass the 1 million mark. With this deployment Oman Mobile has joined the select group of telecom operators in Middle East who have already deployed ACL's IM & Community solution, and thus gained leverage to drive customer loyalty and fuel incremental revenues.
Reflecting ACL's global expertise in the IM & Community space, the current solution successfully addresses the fundamental need of mobile consumers to connect with like-minded people and to communicate with them in real time using a more cost effective, interactive and expressive medium.
Packed with popular features such as people search, chat-rooms and interoperability with PC-based instant messengers, amongst others, the service is available via the SMS short code 90222 to all users on the Oman Mobile network.
