ACL Wireless launches version 2.0 of instant messenger

Bangalore: ACL Wireless Ltd, Asia's provider of wireless instant messaging and presence application to mobile operators, today announced release of version 2.0 of its flagship product ACL wireless instant messenger (IM) and presence application.
From its earlier version of ACL WIM 1.61, this company claims the version is a major upgrade in terms of software technology, usability and expanse of features for a mobile-phone user.
"ACL WIM 2.0 has been designed keeping in mind the mobile phone users. It sports friendly SMS, WAP and PC interface and therefore, usability is much more superior. Further, it makes the operator's own community of users more engaged with the application and renders interconnect power with other operator messengers' world wide, by meeting Wireless Village Specifications", said Sanjay Goyal, founder & CEO, ACL Wireless.
ACL WIM 2.0, which interconnects with popular Web-based IMs, facilitates exchange of messages and presence information across devices, platforms and communities. It is compliant with open standards like PAM, JDO, ODMG, Wireless Village, XML, MMS, WAP and SMPP.
